Private Lessons
Tuition for private piano or flute lessons is a monthly flat rate fee: $120/mo for flute. $100/mo for piano. Students come for a 30-minute weekly lesson unless there is a holiday or school break. Breaks usually line up with Alpine School District breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break and a few other holidays. (The Current year’s schedule will be provided with lessons.) Included in tuition is individualized instruction, recitals which are held 2-3 times a year, and occasional group lessons, usually held three times a year. Whether there is a break or extra group lessons or recitals, tuition is still the same flat rate fee.
During the summer, to accommodate family trips, etc., students pay for the number of lessons they will be attending. Students are welcome to come as little or as often as they choose and pay for those lessons. Per 30 minute lesson it is $25 for piano and $30 for flute.
Music Preparatory Academy
Mini Mozart class (ages 3 – 4):
The Mini Mozart class is $70/mo. There is a $15 registration fee. However, if by your efforts, another student signs up, your registration fee will be waived. Classes are for 45 minutes and meet weekly. The full course takes about 9 months. If you wish to pay by semester the cost is $295/semester. To pay for the whole course up front, the cost is $560.
Mighty Mozart class (ages 5 – 6):
The Mighty Mozart class is $80/mo. Students will need to purchase their own workbook which costs $9.00. There is also a $15 registration fee. However, if by your efforts, another student signs up, your registration fee will be waived. Classes are for one hour and meet weekly. The full course takes about 9 months. If you wish to pay by semester the cost is $340/semester. To pay for the whole course up front, the cost is $650.
